Do you like to bake, cook, shop, or work with others? If so, then you might be a good fit for the Mercy Meal Team!
Mercy Meals are for those who have lost a loved one and would like a place to gather over a meal after a funeral with family and friends for closure. The Mercy Meal Team provides the essentials to make this happen.
Meals are commonly hosted in Holy Family Hall (the St. Mary Church basement).
For more details about this meaningful outreach ministry, please contact Sherri Hall and Michelle Tudor at stmarymercymeal@gmail.com.
If you have lost a loved one, please inquire about Mercy Meals with the priest when making funeral arrangements.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED, NEW MINISTER TRAINING AVAILABLE.
This ministry serves those parishioners in both nursing and residential homes who are unable to attend Mass. Volunteers bring the Eucharist to the homebound, and generally serve on a rotating basis (normally scheduled every 3 months).
Want to become a Eucharistic Minister? Please reach out to Deacon Eric at the parish office or via deacon@stmnh.org.
Want someone to bring you Communion?
Already a Eucharistic Minister and want to volunteer for this Outreach Program to bring Communion to nursing homes?
Please contact Karen Schalitz, the Parish Nurse via nurse@stmnh.org, for more information on homebound Eucharistic Ministry.
(Reach out to Karen with inquiries on nursing & residential homes in the greater Exeter and Newmarket areas.)
Our Thanksgiving Basket Drive helps to literally feed the needs of local families as we collaborate with Newmarket Community Church each year.
2021 was a wonderful success, with so many parishioners providing gift cards to go along with meals provided by Shaw's. Look for more details on this program next Fall!
Our Christmas Giving Tree is placed in the entry of the church and is decorated with paper "ornaments" listing the needs for a child/family.
This year we're requesting gift cards to retail stores, where children can get the clothes, toys, or simple basic essentials that they need.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION AND GENEROSITY!
